On June 3, 2023, the Seminar of Fujian Yuanhong Food Industry College High-Quality Development and the Prepared Foods Industry Forum hosted by Fujian Polytechnic Normal University (FPNU) and Fuzhou New District Yuanhong Functional Area Management Committee was successfully held in the academic lecture hall of FPNU’s library. Jiang Xingshan, Vice President of FPNU, and He Xiongguang, Director of Fuzhou New District Yuanhong Functional Area Management Committee attended the meeting. Participants also include experts and students from relevant domestic universities, representatives of relevant food enterprises in Fujian Province, heads and representatives of faculty and students from FPNU’s Academic Affairs Office and School of Food and Bioengineering, and the expert committee and members of the Fujian Province-Indonesia Marine Food Joint Research and Development Center.
Jiang Xingshan, Vice President of FPNU, and He Xiongguang, Head of the Party and Mass Work Department of Yuanhong Functional Area Management Committee of Fuzhou New District, delivered speeches and awarded appointment letters to FPNU’s special engaged professors, including Professor Li Jianrong, Vice President of Bohai University, Professor Xia Wenshui of Jiangnan University, and Professor Lin Hong of Ocean University of China.
At the forum on prepared foods industry development, Professor Li Jianrong, Vice President of Bohai University, Professor Wenshui Xia, Secretary General of the National Advisory Committee of Food Science and Engineering Teaching under the Ministry of Education, and Professor Shaoyun Wang, Dean of Fuzhou University’s College of Biological Science and Engineering were invited to attend and give keynote reports. In-depth academic exchanges on the key points of prepared foods research and development, development trend, and key technology of pre-made aquatic products have been made among various experts, scholars, and enterprise representatives. Professor Xiang Leiwen, director of the R&D center, introduced the relevant situation of Yuanhong Food Industry College, and the experts and scholars present conducted a workshop to guide its further progression.
