On April 24, Party Secretary Lai Hairong met with Professor Aman, President of the International Union of Food Science and Technology, Director-General of the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations and member of the Scientific Advisory Committee, and President of Indonesia IPMI International Business School, at Beijing Friendship Hotel. Vice President Jiang Xingshan attended the meeting.

Secretary Lai Hairong introduced the phased results achieved by FPNU in recent years focusing on the construction goals of the first-class applied university and strengthening international exchanges and cooperation and elaborated the construction work of China-Indonesia Industrial Cooperation Center, Fujian Province-Indonesia Marine Food Joint R&D Center, and Chinese Workshop. He hoped that Prof. Aman would play his role in terms of bridging bilateral communication and advancing academic development to facilitate FPNU to deepen foreign cooperation and communication and enhance comprehensive academic strength.

Professor Aman expressed his pleasure to meet with Secretary Lai in Beijing. He hoped that both sides would seize the strategic opportunities of the China-Indonesia “Two Countries, Twin Parks” project, strengthen the cooperation in scientific research, mutual visits of teachers and students, consolidate the existing scientific research platform, further declare international joint laboratories, etc., and optimize the results of exchange and cooperation, cultivate high quality and high-level talents in the field of food science, and provide talent support for the construction of the China-Indonesia “Two Countries Twin Parks” project.

Heads of FPNU’s Party and Government Office, Office of Scientific Research, and the School of Food and Bioengineering, and the Director of the R&D Center attended the event.
