From April 22 to 23, Prof. Aman, President of the International Union of Food Science and Technology, President of Indonesia IPMI International Business School, and former President of Bogor Agricultural University visited FPNU. Prof. Liao Shenji, President of FPNU, warmly received Prof. Aman. Faculty and representatives from FPNU’s Personnel Office, Office of International Cooperation and Exchange, School of Food and Bioengineering, Fujian Province-Indonesia Marine Food Joint R&D Center, and Sino-Indonesia Industrial Cooperation Research Center attended relevant activities.
On the morning of April 23, FPNU held a guest professor appointment ceremony in the comprehensive conference room of the Science Building of Wumashan Campus, appointing Prof. Aman as a guest professor of the School of Food and Bioengineering.
President Liao issued the letter of appointment to Prof. Aman.
President Liao extended his welcome and gratitude to Professor Aman for his acceptance of the appointment, briefly introduced the basic school-running situation, and reviewed the cooperation between the two universities since the signing of the cooperation framework agreement. He also expressed his hope that the two universities would achieve fruitful cooperation through deepening understanding and strengthening exchanges, and contribute to the implementation of the "Two Countries, Twin Parks" project and the building of the Sino-Indonesian community of common destiny.
Professor Aman briefly introduced his biography and academic experience, as well as the basic information about IPMI International Business School and the International Union of Food Science and Technology, and expressed his appreciation for being invited to visit FPNU and appointed as a guest professor. Afterward, a seminar on the construction of the Fujian Province-Indonesia Marine Food Joint R&D Center. As the deputy director of the academic committee of the R&D center, President Aman took careful participation in the working seminar and put forward many insightful opinions and suggestions on the construction of the center, cooperation between the two universities, joint construction between the university and local enterprises, teachers’ study visits and students’ talents training.
In the afternoon of April 23, accompanied by FPNU’s relevant officials, Prof. Aman visited Fuqing Overseas Chinese Museum Liem Sioe Liong Memorial Hall, Saneheld (Fuqing) Food Co., Ltd., Jingdong and other enterprises that operate in the Chinese park of the bilateral “Two Countries, Twin Parks” project with Indonesia.
