On November 28, The Fuqing Chapter of the 20th Fuzhou Association for Science and Technology Annual Meeting and Fujian-Indonesia Joint Research and Development Center for Marine Food 2022 Annual Academic Conference, co-sponsored by Fuqing Association for Science and Technology, Fuzhou New District Fuqing Functional Area Management Committee and Fujian Polytechnic Normal University (FPNU), was successfully held in the hall of JD Yuanhong Global Food Digital Economy Industry Center. Vice president Shang Guangmei of FPNU, Researcher Zhuang Ruishun of Fuzhou New District Fuqing Functional Area Management Committee, and Chairman Lin Aiguang of Fuqing Association for Science and Technology attended the meeting. Experts and students from relevant universities and research institutes in China, representatives of enterprises in Yuanhong International Food Industrial Park, heads and representatives of faculty and students from FPNU’s Academic Affairs Office, School of Food and Bioengineering, and the expert committee and members of the R&D Center, etc. also took online or offline participation in the meeting.
Vice President Shang briefly introduced the basic situation of FPNU. He said that FPNU, regional industrial parks, industrial alliances and leading enterprises have been collaboratively committed to the construction of the R&D Center and the provincial modern industrial college - Yuanhong Food Industry College, to promote the close integration of "industry-academia-research-teaching " and the transformation and application of scientific research results. He hopes that the Center will be brought into its full play to activate new ideas for academic research and international cooperation, to expand new ways for the development of the food industry, and to help create a new engine for high-quality development.
Chairman Lin expressed his warm congratulations on the convening of this annual academic conference, and his sincere welcome to all the attendees. He extended his hope that the city's workers and enterprises in science and technology, as the vanguard of innovation and development, must thoroughly learn and implement the spirit of the 20th CPC National Congress and General Secretary Xi Jinping's important remarks on science and technology innovation, carry forward the spirit of science and technology innovation, strengthen scientific research and academic exchanges, promote the achievements of science and technology innovation from various countries to take root and blossom in Fuqing, and make contributions to Fuqing's all-round advancement of high-quality development.
Researcher Zhuang said that this annual meeting is the first academic meeting since the establishment of the R&D Center. He will strongly support the Center and spare every effort in serving the food industry. His expectation was that the utilization of the platform brings the transition from scientific and technological research to industrial development and then to promotion and application, providing substantial support for the development of food industry.
At the opening ceremony, the leaders unveiled a plaque for the industry-academia-research-teaching collaborative innovation base of Yuanhong Food Industry College of FPNU.

Reports included Research Progress of the Preservation and Procession Technology of Fishery Products, Key technology and Development Trend of Pre-made Aquatic Products, Molecular Foods, Nanoparticle Foods, and Cellular Foods, The Quality Control and Application of Bioactive Peptides on Minced Meat Based Prepared Products, Study on the Quality Change of Ice-temperature Stored Rhubarb in High Pressure Electrostatic Field, Study of Calcium Delivery System Assembled by Fish-derived Collagen Peptides, and Value and Utilization of Minced Fish, etc. With their focus on the topics of marine food deep processing, innovative processing technology, research and development of new products, the participants conducted academic exchanges, had discussions on the current situation of the industry, the latest research results, technical experience and the future development of marine food, and put forward valuable comments and suggestions on the construction of the Center.
