The 2022 International Symposium on Oriental Monascus (Hongqu) was held in Fuzhou from August 13th to 15th, Professor Xiang Leiwen, Director of the R&D Center, along with his delegation was invited to participate in the event.

The symposium was co-hosted by Institute of Food Science and Technology of Fujian Province (IFST) and Fuzhou University, with more than 180 participants from nearly 50 universities and research institutes at home and abroad and nearly 30 business representatives attending the offline meeting, and more than 5,000 participants attending the online meeting. Featuring the theme of "science and technology innovation and industrial development of monascus", the symposium maintained the most authoritative and representative lineup of experts and entrepreneurs from the 2018 International Symposium on Oriental Monascus. Connecting itself closely with the rapid development of the monascus industry, the symposium focused on the bottlenecks in current monascus technology and its industrialization and probed into the industry's future development path.
