The Fuzhou Brewing Industry Technology Innovation Center was established in 2021 with the approval of the Fuzhou Municipal Bureau of Science and Technology. The center is an organization of academic research and social service that provides services for the research, development, and industrial application of alcoholic products and other food. In total, the center has 20 members, including 2 professors, 8 associate professors, 1 senior engineer, 5 lecturers and 4 laboratory technicians, all with rich experience in product development and industry application.
Since its inception, the center has catered for more than 10 technical demands of food and brewing enterprises, and has undertaken 2 projects supported by the National Natural Science Foundation of China, one key project of the Fujian Provincial Department of Science and Technology, one project of Provincial Natural Science Foundation, one key project of Fuzhou Municipal Bureau of Science and Technology, as well as university-level projects and other scientific research tasks. It has applied for 5 inventions patents. Furthermore, under the center’s guidance, 2 scientific research works has won the silver award in the 7th Fujian College Students’ “Internet +” Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition.
The center adheres to the notion of providing scientific and technological services for food enterprises and acts as a bridge between universities and enterprises. Since its establishment, it has provided product development and industrialization application services for more than 20 enterprises, such as Panchuji Food Co., Ltd., Fujian Salt Industry Group, Fujian Fusheng Wine Industry Co., Ltd., Nanping Baihua Bee Industry Co., Ltd., Fujian Jianercong Food Co., Ltd. and Fujian Fumao Food Co., Ltd. The annual output value of their various industrial products amounts to hundreds of millions. In addition, the center also maintains long-term cooperation with scientific research institutes such as Fujian Light Industry Research Institute and Fujian Academy of Agricultural Sciences, playing an active role in promoting the development of food industry in Fujian province.
