From 8 to 10 May 2026, the 3rd Fujian-Taiwan Seminar on the Development of the Aquatic Prepared Dishes Industry was successfully held in Fuzhou. Professor Xiang Leiwen, Director of the Fujian Province-Indonesia Marine Food Joint Research and Development Centre, was invited to attend the conference.

The conference was jointly organised by the Fujian Insititute of Food Processing and Preservation Engineering, the Institute of Agricultural Product Processing at the Fujian Academy of Agricultural Sciences, and the College of Food Science at Fujian Agriculture and Forestry University. It was co-hosted by the Key Laboratory of Subtropical Characteristic Fruits, Vegetables and Edible Fungi Processing (Co-construction by Ministry and Province), Ministry of Agricultural and Rural Affairs, Fujian Provincial Key Laboratory of Agricultural Products (Food) Processing, Engineering Research Centre for Fujian-Taiwan Special Marine Food Processing and Nutritional, Ministry of Education, the Fujian Food Additives and Ingredients Industry Association, and Quanzhou College of Technology. The symposium attracted over 300 participants, including experts and scholars, corporate representatives and industry leaders from both sides of the Taiwan Strait, who came together to promote technological innovation and high-quality development in the Fujian-Taiwan Aquatic Prepared Dishes Industry.
