Deepening University-Industry Collaboration to Promote Employment: FPNU Visits Fuzhou Mintian Food Industry Park Co., Ltd.

To further strengthen university-industry linkages, precisely align with industry needs, and expand employment channels for graduates, a delegation from FPNU visited Fuzhou Mintian Food Industry Park Co., Ltd. on the morning of March 18, 2026. The delegation consisted of Xiang Leiwen, Deputy Party Committee Secretary (Presiding over Work), Huang Dihui, Executive Trainee, Chen Huimin, Director of the Food Science and Engineering Program, and Huang Xiaozhou, Deputy Director. They were warmly received and accompanied throughout the visit by Huang Xingwen, Manager of the company’s R&D Department.

The delegation first toured the corporate history exhibition hall, where Manager Huang Xingwen provided detailed insights into Mintian Food’s century-long heritage and innovative development, from its founding to the present day, vividly illustrating through historical photographs and artifacts. As a recognized China Time-honored Brand, Mintian Food has consistently upheld its traditional brewing techniques while advancing modern industrial upgrades, establishing itself as a leading enterprise in Fujian Province’s condiment industry. The delegation then proceeded to the production facilities for an on-site inspection of core workshops, including soy sauce brewing and fish sauce fermentation. They observed the entire process, from raw material selection and koji-making to fermentation, pressing, extraction, and post-production blending, witnessing the integration of traditional craftsmanship with modern intelligent production equipment.

Following the tour, the delegation held a special symposium with Mao Lixian, the company’s General Manager. Engineers Wu Benyang and Hu Rongfei from the R&D Department also attended. During the meeting, Deputy Secretary Xiang Leiwen expressed gratitude for the company’s hospitality and provided a systematic overview of the university’s academic disciplines, faculty, research platforms, and talent development framework. He specifically highlighted the disciplinary structure, geographic origins, and career intentions of the 2026 graduating class, expressing hope that this visit would serve as a catalyst for establishing long-term collaborative mechanisms between the university and the company in areas such as talent cultivation, internships, and scientific research. General Manager Mao Lixian spoke highly of the university’s talent cultivation quality. She noted that as the company expands its business and undergoes technological upgrades, its demand for high-quality applied talents is increasingly urgent. She expressed interest in deepening cooperation with the institute to achieve mutual benefits through initiatives such as joint internship base development, collaborative technological research, and targeted talent cultivation.

Notably, Engineer Wu Benyang, who participated in the symposium, is an graduate who earned his master’s degree from our institute. Having worked at Mintian for several years, he has grown into a key technical member of the company. During the meeting, Wu shared his career journey from campus to the workplace, expressed gratitude for his alma mater’s cultivation, and affirmed his commitment to serving as a bridge to facilitate substantive cooperation. This research visit, characterized by its rich content and in-depth exchanges, further enhanced mutual understanding between FPNU and the company. The two parties reached broad consensus on talent recruitment, scientific research collaboration, and platform development, laying a solid foundation for future substantive cooperation.
