From 24 to 26 December 2025, the 23rd China Food Safety Conference and the 2025 National Food Industry Scientific and Technological Progress Conference were grandly convened in Beijing. Professor Xiang Leiwen, Director of the R&D Centre, was invited to attend the conference. The centre’s achievement, Development of Novel Plant-Based Fat Substitutes and Their Application in Fat-Reducing Technology for Fish Paste Products, was honoured with the Third Prize in the Scientific and Technological Progress Award of the 2024 China National Food Industry Association Science and Technology Award (hereafter referred to as CNFIA S&T Award).

The CNFIA S&T Award is a nationally recognised accolade approved by the Ministry of Science and Technology. It honours organisations and individuals making outstanding contributions to technological innovation and scientific advancement within the food industry, standing as one of the most authoritative awards in China’s food industry science and technology sector.
This accolade represents high recognition of our sustained innovation capabilities and R&D strength within the food science sector. Moving forward, we shall continue to prioritize technological innovation, deepen industry-academia-research-application collaboration, and drive the commercialization of further scientific achievements. This commitment aims to contribute to the high-quality development of the food industry and the advancement of new productive forces.
