On the afternoon of June 1, the establishment conference of FPNU Branch of Fujian Fujian Overseas & Returned Scholars Association (FORSA) was held in the library hall of Wumashan Campus. Attendees included Zhen Chuanfang, President of FORSA, Chen An, Secretary General of FORSA, Liao Shenji, President of FPNU and Deputy Secretary of FPNU Party Committee, Chen Zhiyong, Vice President of FPNU and member of FPNU Party Committee, Deputy Director of the United Front Work Department of Fuqing City, Lin Xi, Deputy of Overseas Chinese Affairs Office of Fuzhou City and a four-lever inspector, as well as relevant heads of The United Front Work Department of FPNU Party Committee, Office of Teacher Work, Office of International Cooperation and Exchange and FPNU’s schools and colleges. Director Xiang Leiwen and other professors of Fujian Province-Indonesia Marine Food Joint R&D Center also attended the conference, which was hosted by Shang Guangmei, FPNU’s Vice President and member of FPNU Party Committee.

The first Council of FPNU Branch of Fujian Overseas Returned Scholars Association was formed in accordance with the organizational procedures. FPNU’s Vice President Chen Zhiyong was elected Chairman of the Council, and Xiang Leiwen, Director of the R&D Center was elected Vice-chairman of the Council.
